Where to Stay in Bali
This past spring, I had a chance to travel to Bali, Indonesia. As you step foot into Bali, you are immediately greeted by beautiful landscapes and a sense of serenity. During my time here, I spent time in Nusa Dua, Ubud, and Uluwatu. In particular, I wanted to highlight my stays in Uluwatu and Nusa Dua. Keep reading to be transported to paradise!
Uluwatu - Prasana Villas
Uluwatu's name is derived from the Balinese words "ulu" meaning "land's end" and "watu" meaning "rock." It is situated along the coastline, surrounded by cliffs and views of the crystal-clear turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean.
During my time here, I stayed at Prasana Villas in a 2 bedroom Two Bedroom Sunrise Villa. It was absolutely magical and one of the nicest places I have ever stayed at. When we walked into the hotel, they greeted us with ginger tea and brought our luggages to our room.
When you walk into the room, it is your own oasis with an open-living room, kitchenette, an infinity pool, and views of the ocean. On opposite ends were 2 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, an outdoor bath, doors that lead out to a daybed.
In the mornings, we would have their complimentary breakfast in their beautiful indoor-outdoor dining area. They served a basket of pastries as we had our morning green juice and coffee. To order, they had something for everyone whether you wanted something more hearty like a breakfast scramble or light like an acai bowl. Everything was made with fresh ingredients, and was delicious!
If youβre looking for a luxury stay in Bali, I would HIGHLY recommend Prasana Villas. Their rooms are beautiful, the views are stunning, and the staff are extremely friendly. This is a stay that I will never forget!
Nusa Dua - Ulu Segara Luxury Suites & Villas
Nusa Dua is a tropical sanctuary at the Southern part of Bali if youβre looking to spend time relaxing on the white sand beaches and swim in the warm, clear ocean.
In Nusa Dua, I stayed at Ulu Segara Luxury Suites & Villas in their Ocean Suite. This was my first stop in Bali and when I walked in, my jaw dropped at how large the room was. It was an open layout with a kitchenette, living room area, and patio that looks into the beautiful ocean. The villas were also recently renovated, so everything felt very new and clean.
They have a pool that looks over the ocean and if you walk down past the pool, you are taken to your own. private beach. The soft sand and clear waters brought a sense of peace and relaxation. If you spend time in Nusa Dua, I also recommend going to Zahara Spa, a 12 minute drive from the hotel where you can get the best Balinese massage. They have tiki rooms for each person and the ambiance instantly brings you zen.
Not only was Ulu Segara a wonderful hotel with amazing staff, but it was also relatively affordable. For this large suite, it was a little over $100/night. If I was to visit Nusa Dua again, this would definitely be my hotel of choice!
Hope you enjoyed this post and that I got to take you to paradise for a bit of your day! If you have any questions about either of these places, feel free to leave them in the comments or send me an email, always happy to chat about my experience!
