20 Things I'm Thankful for in 2020
2020 has been quite the year to say to least. We’re all experiencing and dealing with these hard times differently, but this Thanksgiving, I hope we can all find some silver linings and be grateful for what we do have. Here are 20 things I’m thankful for in 2020.
Family - They will always be who I’m most thankful for. I don’t know how I got so lucky to be a part of this family!
Friends - Friends, old and new, near and far, you know who you are! Grateful to have you all by my side!
Washington - This year, I’ve been exploring locally and finding hidden gems in the evergreen state. I’m so lucky to get to call this place home!
Nature - Unplugging and being in tune with nature will always be the best feeling and has kept me sane during this time. Let’s keep our planet clean for people to enjoy for generations to come!
Front-Line Workers- Thanks for putting your health on the line to keep our community safe. You are the true heroes of 2020!
My Mentors - I would not be where I am today without my mentors, thanks to all that have taken the time to help guide me on this journey!
Having My Brother Home! - He usually lives in Columbus, OH and a silver lining of this pandemic is having him home and getting to spend more time with him; thanks for being my best friend!
My Job - I’m so lucky to have a job that allows me to work from home and I’m grateful to be a part of a company that puts people first. They’ve done a tremendous job transitioning to a remote work experience and giving people the resources they need.
A Healthy Body - I’m grateful that I’m healthy and my body allows me to move and be active.
This Blog + My Readers - This blog has been a passion project of mine for many years and is something I always come back to even if I take a hiatus. Thanks to those who have stuck around all these years and welcome to my new readers!
My Camera - Photos take us back to a point in time and that’s why I love taking photos and capturing every moment.
Sweats - Let’s be honest, that’s all we’re wearing these days and it’s keeping us cozy.
Baths - A candlelit bath will always help me unwind on my most stressful days.
Coffee - My favorite part of each morning is making my cup of joe and smelling that sweet aroma.
Video Chatting - Thankful for video chatting services that allow me to keep in touch with my friends.
The Holidays - With the days getting shorter, being quarantined feels harder. Though, the holiday cheer and Christmas lights help bring a joyful spirit to these times.
Books & TV - Thanks for keeping me entertained, while I’ve been inside so much haha
Soccer & Golf - I grew up playing soccer and golf, but stopped playing once I went to college. During this pandemic, I’ve started playing both again and re-found my love for these sports!
Home Cooked Meals - Mama Huang makes the most delicious foods that I hope to learn one day and pass down to my children!
All the Ups & Downs in Life - This pandemic has affected everyone and it’s so rare for the whole world to be experiencing the same struggle together. While times are hard right now, I believe that we’ve all learned to be resilient. It’s times like these where we learn that we’re stronger than we thought we were.
Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving!
